  • Reports to the Senior Director, MGB Anesthesiology.
  • Leads administrative management of the MGH Pain Center, comprising ~16 providers and clinical / administrative support staff across multiple outpatient clinics and an inpatient service.

Outpatient clinics include sites in Danvers, Salem, Nantucket, Waltham, and Martha’s Vineyard. Responsibilities under this scope includes day-to-day management of all operational aspects of the practice including:
o Patient scheduling, access, and front desk operations
o Staff scheduling and patient care scheduling matters
o Dashboards and analytics to track patient operations and institutional goals
o Billing operations including prior authorizations, revenue capture, etc.
o Pain Center facilities and care environment
o Direct management of >15 weekly staff members
o Partner with Division Chief on MD staff matters
o With department integration, may evolve to have cross-coverage responsibilities with BWH Pain Center.

  • Manages / oversees the department’s faculty recruitment, credentialing, payer enrollment and onboarding operations.

o Directly manages the team of ~2 staff who manage the day-to-day of provider operations
o Maintains an integrated database of hires in progress to track the recruitment process and ensure the process moves along efficiently
o Directly leads certain aspects of the recruitment process and serves as back-up for team member functions

  • The Senior Administrative Manager is a full-time onsite role based at MGH, with limited travel/presence at other MGB sites.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned as well as manages integration or MGB cross-cutting projects.

Responsible for overseeing and enhancing the administrative operations of the hospital, ensuring the efficient management of resources, staff, and processes. This leadership role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, and the implementation of policies and procedures to support the hospital’s mission and goals. This role also works closely with senior management to drive organizational effectiveness and ensure high-quality administrative support.

  • Develop and implement strategic administrative policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee daily administrative operations, ensuring seamless coordination across departments.
  • Manage the administrative support functions, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support administrative staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and accreditation standards.
  • Enhance patient and visitor experience by ensuring high standards of service in all administrative functions.
