Business and Financial Services; +1 Conference and Events Administration The Business Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of The Paz Center. Responsibilities include maintaining the booking system for overnight stays and events, overseeing billing and contracts, developing budgets to identify revenue opportunities, and producing regular reports.
Additional responsibilities include making sure that all emergency items are functional, addressing minor maintenance needs, and supporting cleaning, upkeep and event set up. The Business Manager will be cross trained with the Experience Manager to ensure a VIP experience for all visitors.
This is a 10-month employee with times TBD with the Experience Manager. This position must work on campus at the Paz Center. May require nights and weekends. Remote work is not available.
Essential Functions:
Data Management:
Maintain booking system for overnight stays and events. Oversee billing and contracts. Develop contracts with General Counsel as needed.
Budget Management:
Develop budgets and identify opportunities for revenue. Set strategy to manage, meet and project revenue goals. Create packages and other sales opportunities.
Reporting:
Produce weekly, monthly and annual reports. Develop lead measures with EM and report on annual goals.
Quality Assurance:
Be sure all emergency items are in working order (smoke alarms, emergency lights, fire extinguisher, etc) Identify minor maintenance needs in and around property (change lights, paint touch ups, gardening, etc) and create work orders • Identify and document priority maintenance needs. Coordinate cleaning and upkeep of all areas of the facility with contracted housekeeping and maintenance as needed.
Guest Experience:
Serve as back up to Experience Manager. Complete reservation requests and reply to email correspondence. Meet guests to check in and tour the center as needed. Promote guest satisfaction. Maintain a “no fail” attitude and ensure that each visitor has a VIP experience.
Required:
High school diploma or
GED Preferred:
