Collections Specialist 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Marlboro, MA 01752 We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Marlboro, Massachusetts. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work in the Waste, Refuse, and Environmental Waste Management industry, where you will play a key role in managing commercial collections and ensuring billing accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the collection process for commercial accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving outstanding balances. Communicate professionally with customers to address payment discrepancies and disputes. Collaborate with internal departments to verify billing details and resolve any inconsistencies. Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, analyze, and report on collection activities. Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a firm approach to collections. Manage account reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records. Identify and escalate problematic accounts for further action when required. Follow established protocols and compliance standards for collections and billing processes. Develop strategies to improve the efficiency of the collections process. Proven experience in commercial collections, preferably in a similar industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets. Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve disputes effectively. Familiarity with billing and collections procedures. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members. Knowledge of compliance standards related to collections and billing.
