In this role, you will be responsible for processing insurance claims, verifying coverage, and ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical supplies dispensed through our pharmacy. You will work closely with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to ensure proper reimbursement and compliance with healthcare regulations. This is a vital position that supports our mission of delivering essential medical supplies to patients efficiently and affordably. Process billing claims for insurance reimbursement and follow up on outstanding claims. Maintain and update patient medical records to ensure compliance with regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in documentation or coding. Utilize medical office systems to track billing processes and manage accounts receivable. Conduct medical collections as necessary while adhering to ethical standards. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing and coding, with a strong understanding of medical terminology. Familiarity with
PRIME RX/POS.
Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Certification in Medical Billing and Coding is a plus but not required.
