Optometric Billing Specialist Position Available In Jefferson, Tennessee

Optometric Billing Specialist Barnes Vision 334 S Highway 92, Dandridge, TN 37725 Barnes Vision is looking for an optometric billing specialist. The billing specialist’s role is critical, since this person provides billing and accounting for patients coming into our office. This candidate should be able to multitask and respond to the needs of the patients and other staff efficiently and calmly. The billing specialist will be responsible in reviewing, preparing, and submitting insurance claims. This position is responsible for payment posting and accounts receivables. In addition, this person also assists patients in the ordering and dispensing of contact lenses while maintaining current knowledge of products available. The candidate will also help with the regular office responsibilities by answering phones, greeting patients and performing light clerical duties.

Job duties include:

Answer phones Appointment scheduling Work as a team to provide the best patient experience Maintain a clean and professional work area Responsible for timely processing of accounts receivables and filing insurance accurately and timely Serve as the contact person for staff regarding questions on insurance eligibility, processes, and submitting claims Advise patients on insurance coverage, promotions and other available options Ability to accurately record patient and contact lens order data in computer system Work with outside billing company to ensure proper insurance billing, reconcile financial transactions and deposits daily
