Special Education Lead Data Entry Clerk

Qualifications:

Three years related work experience
Experience in the implementation, use, and support of enterprise software systems
Proficiency in a variety of Microsoft products include Windows, Excel, and Word
Knowledge of confidentiality protocols related to student information and data
Excellent telephone and oralmunication skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to provide assistance to district personnel, schools, and parents with efficiency
Ability to work independently and productively

Job Goal:

The person in this position maintains and provides technical support for all Special Education student information systems (Enrich and EdPlan), as well as Class Planning and Special Education Transportation. This includes analyzing reports for data issues and collaborating with Special Education Leadership and supervisor to improve data collection and reporting. As the Lead Data Clerk, person also oversees the daily work of clerks handling specialized class planning and transportation.

Performance Responsibilities:

Act as Tier 1 technical support to Special Education student information systems’ end users.
Communicate with Frontline support to ensure system issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Responsible for all iing Special Education Student Record Transfers (SRTs).
Prepare and distribute weekly reporting to Special Education teachers, Special Education Specialists, and Special Education Leadership consistent with specific timelines.
Assist with the development of internal reports as requested by Special Education Leadership.
Assist as directed with the configuration, administration, and security maintenance of all Special Education software systems including Enrich and EdPlan.
Validate the accuracy and integrity of system reports through report review, reconciliation, and data sampling.
Provide daily assistance regarding student assignment to teachers, transportation, other district personnel and parents.
Assist with supporting and training Special Education staff on data entry and reporting for all Special Education student information systems.
Maintain physical data entry records in a manner consistent with requirements and rmendations of district Internal Audit staff and Special Education Administration.
Oversee and participate in the entry of Next Enrollment School Assignment (NESA) codes into Special Education student information systems in preparation for the district’s New Year Rollover (NYRO) of PowerSchool.
Assist as needed with meeting timelines associated with the district’s annual NYRO process and Special Education’s year end process.
Prepare all assignment letters for Special Education students.
Work with teachers and Transportation Department to prepare annual back to school transportation information and oversee ongoing maintenance throughout the school year.
Verify mileage for Special Education students with transportation contracts and collaborate with Transportation Department toplete State Department of Education (SDE) transportation reimbursement forms.
Monitor and facilitate correction of all data required for annual SDE indicators and tables by running validation reports, analyzing data, andmunicating findings with Special Education Directors.
Assist as requested with preparation of additional performance indicators reported to the Office of Exceptional Children (OEC) at the SDE.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Terms of Employment:

12 month position; Salary Support/Annual, 245 Days, Step G
