AFC is seeking a self-motivated Executive Administrative Assistant to serve as the right hand to the Executive Director. In this pivotal role, you will ensure seamless administrative operations, strategic scheduling, and effective communication with the Board of Directors. You must be highly organized, proactive, and able to manage confidential information with discretion. Strong background in fundraising support, donor relations and event coordination are essential. Specifically, you will: Manage and prioritize complex calendars, including scheduling internal/external meetings. Prepare briefing materials, agendas, talking points, and follow-up documentation. Screen/manage incoming correspondence, calls, and requests; draft responses where appropriate. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of board communications and organizational documents. Assist with project tracking, deadline management, and interdepartmental coordination. Prepare and execute fundraising events. Track contributions, prepare thank-you letters. AFC Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant or Administrative professional supporting C-level or Executive leadership, ideally in the nonprofit or education sectors. Demonstrated experience supporting and coordinating activities with Board of Director members. Responsible for attending board meetings & preparing minutes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, and document-sharing platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Dropbox). Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask priorities under tight deadlines. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
