This role will also assist the Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation over Administration and the Parks Attorney. In this position, you will manage the Parks Director’s schedule, and handle correspondence including mail, emails, phone calls, and meeting scheduling and setup. You may prepare agendas, take minutes, and produce meeting summaries for the Park Board monthly meetings. You will maintain multiple databases and calendars including working with multiple calendars and schedules. A wide variety of work will be handled on a regular basis containing confidential information. This position plays an active role in the coordination and preparation of many events and employee recognition events. The ideal candidate will be well organized, a self-starter, work autonomously, and be adaptable to unplanned changes, as well as possess strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. What you’ll need: Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail. An ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Qualifications and Requirements Experience, Education, and Training At least three years of responsible administrative office work. Licensing/Certification Obtain Notary certification within the probationary period depending on departmental assignment. AND Assignment to some departments requires incumbent to possess a valid Driver’s License and, in some cases, provide own vehicle for on-the-job transportation purposes.
PREFERRED
