Cemetery General Office Help Position Floral Park Cemetery Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Worker to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment, providing administrative support, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude, contributing to the overall efficiency of our office. Responsibilities Perform general office duties including filing, data entry, and document management. Provide excellent customer service and support to clients via phone and in-person interactions, including providing concise directions to on-site detailed locations. Assist with office management tasks such as order intake, scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings. Utilize computers for basic tasks, document drafting, billing and record keeping. Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote productivity. Handle incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating effective phone etiquette. Scanning documents and files, burial order intake, financial entries, billing, updating records, preparing documents, and searching grave locations in database. Qualifications Proven experience in an office environment or similar administrative role is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ethical, compassionate, articulate individual with a positive attitude. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Computer literate, familiar with word, excel and mail merging. Proficient in proofreading and editing documents for accuracy. Knowledge of office management principles and practices is desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ideal for former teacher or veteran. Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
