Administrative Assistant – SWAG • SIGNS • SPORTS Mitchell Tees Rutland, VT 05701 Job Summary Mitchell Tees, in Pittsford Vermont, is looking to grow our sales and customer service team. We provide custom swag, signs, and sports to a wide customer base. We work hard to develop relationships with the intention of being a one stop shop for clients. We are in search of a friendly and professional Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the director of first impressions in the office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong organizational ability, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves managing front desk operations, handling administrative tasks in the office, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. We need someone with a positive attitude, an abundance of energy, and 100% attendance so that we can promote individual and business growth in the office. Responsibilities Greet and assist clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Answer phone calls promptly, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while directing calls to the appropriate personnel. Manage scheduling and appointments, ensuring efficient use of time for staff and clients. Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic documents. Perform clerical duties such as data entry, running errands, and maintaining office supplies inventory. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including correspondence and report preparation. Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times. Provide support to other staff members as necessary, acting as a personal assistant when required. Qualifications Previous experience in an office or administrative role is highly desirable. Familiarity with receptionist duties is a plus, but we also like the idea of training the right person to grow within the business. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telecommunication systems. We will reach out to applicants that we would like to interview. Interviews that go well, will typically be offered the opportunity to work some paid trial shifts around your schedule. We use the trial shifts to make sure that both parties are comfortable with the fit. If a job offer is made and accepted, we offer a 30 day temporary hire. At the conclusion of those 30 days we will review and offer full time employment with a pay raise.
