Mail Room Job Description. Join our team as we support our business operations! This position supports the Treasury Management Operations Division in the Lockbox department. The individual who fills this position will be primarily responsible for
Mailroom Operations:
receiving incoming mail, operating mailroom equipment, distributing mail for processors, and preparing outgoing packages daily. This is also considered a production-oriented position, which includes adherence to client-based Service Level Agreement (SLA) goals. Individual must be able to assist in other lockbox functions as needed. Primary Job Duties Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Receive, scan, sort, & distribute incoming mail daily in a timely fashion (including Priority, Certified, Express, UPS, and FedEx packages)
Process payments, payment capture, & reviewing rejects before mail out
Operate mail sorting & opening equipment to include basic cleaning, routine maintenance, & escalation of service issues to management (as needed)
Assist with Document Imaging (scanning) as needed
Training & cross-training others as needed
Additional duties as assigned Secondary Job Duties Process payments based on a specific set of client business rules.
Perform document scanning tasks on high-speed scanners.
Proficient PC skills and good understanding of the MS Office software (Word, Excel).
Proficient knowledge and understanding of the English language.
Background in financial industry or retail sales experience.
Ability to lift/carry 10-15 lbs as needed (trays of mail).
Ability to stand for longer periods of time (for scanning work). Requirements Ability to meet physical & fast-paced demands of the job (requires repetitive use of hands; sitting, standing, walking for long periods of time; bending, lifting up to 30lbs, twisting/turning)
Experience working under & meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
Must be at least 18 years of age and pass both a criminal background check & a drug screen
Be detail-oriented, have good problem-solving & communication skills, accurately interpret information, and have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Possess basic skills to use a telephone, computer, fax, and/or adding machine as needed Preferred Skills 1-3 years of Lockbox experience or related experience
Familiarity with Lockbox/Mailroom equipment such as MPS40, Opex 150,
