This position requires a dedicated individual who can navigate various driving conditions and provide excellent customer service while managing the logistics of mail delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, including experience with box trucks and manual transmission vehicles, and be comfortable with heavy lifting and moving. Duties Operate a box truck or van to deliver mail and packages to designated rural routes. Ensure the safe handling of mail, including sorting, loading, and unloading. Provide exceptional customer service by interacting positively with customers during deliveries. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance. Manage heavy lifting tasks as required for loading and unloading mail and packages. Utilize warehouse skills for efficient organization of mail prior to delivery. Operate forklifts when necessary for moving larger items or bulk deliveries. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving preferred, particularly with box trucks or vans. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as part of daily responsibilities. Previous experience in warehouse operations is advantageous. Forklift operation experience is desirable but not mandatory.
