Veterinary Receptionist Position Available In Jefferson, Alabama

Veterinary Receptionist Rocky Ridge Animal Clinic 2488 Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham, AL 35243 We are looking for an experienced veterinary receptionist, a people person in the front office area. Must have a calm good personality. This person must have sharp memory and be highly organized, detail oriented, driven, self starter and have own transportation. Must be reliable, dependable and computer literate. We use Avimark. We are a drug free, smoke free environment. If you don’t posses these traits please don’t apply.

Specific Duties Include:

checking in patients, recording vax history , checking in pets, listening to client directions then transferring directions on a cage card, having clients fill out correct paper work, answering phone, being able to answer general veterinary questions about flea and tick control or heart worm meds, understanding vaccine protocols, calling other clinics to verify vaccine status of pets, processing payments. Most of these duties are detail oriented. Candidate must be organized! Clinic Hours are Mon – Fri 7am-6pm, Sat 7-1 and Sun 6-7pm. You will likely work every 3rd Sunday for a hour after training. Closed 4 major Holidays.
