We’re seeking a friendly, organized, and empathetic Veterinary Receptionist to be the first impression for clients and their beloved pets. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure an exceptional client experience from initial contact through visit completion. This role requires a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Veterinary Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Greet clients and pets in person and by phone with a warm and professional demeanor Manage appointment scheduling, reminders, and check-ins/check-outs effectively Maintain and update client and patient records using our practice management software Process payments, prepare invoices, and handle billing inquiries and insurance claims Serve as a communication liaison between clients, veterinarians, and technician staff Keep the reception area clean, organized, and inviting Promote hospital services, wellness plans, and retail products Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Process payments and manage billing inquiries. Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills or experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Strong interpersonal and written communication skills Familiarity with veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with staff and clients. Experience in a veterinary clinic, medical office, or customer-service role preferred Basic computer skills—comfortable with scheduling and web-based systems A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing excellent service.
