Veterinary Receptionist Position Available In Northwest Hills Planning Region, Connecticut

Veterinary Receptionist Litchfield Hills Veterinary Hospital 172 Litchfield Road, Harwinton, CT 06791 Litchfield Hills Veterinary Hospital is a bustling two-doctor small animal hospital located in Harwinton, CT. We are looking to hire a friendly, upbeat, and outgoing individual with a passion for animal care and excellent customer service skills. Currently, we are in search of a full-time receptionist. As a receptionist, responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering phones and making appointments, maintaining medical records, clerical duties, processing payments (both digital and cash), hospital cleanliness, filling prescriptions, and general hospital support. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, not afraid to ask questions, and can problem solve during different situations to the best of their ability. General Requirements, but training will be given to the right individual:

• 1+ years relevant experience (Veterinary experience a plus)
• Experience assembling patient records, obtaining relevant information from clients, and accurately entering a variety of information in patient records.
• The ability to multitask is a must. We are searching for a candidate with demonstrated ability to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy, use a multiple-line telephone system, and handle cash and other forms of payment.
• At times, this position can be physically demanding.

Such demands can include:

lifting and holding animals of different sizes.

• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures and general computer skills is a plus

Pay:

$16.50 -$18/hour pending experience

Days/hours:

Weekdays 7:30-6:00pm
