Job Description

Cultivation Technician 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Lebanon, ME The Cultivation Technician is responsible for cultivating cannabis within the cultivation center while maintaining high quality standards as set by the Cultivation Director. Cultivation Technicians are responsible for operating within the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy strict guidelines for compliance testing on the crop during all phases of growth and cultivation. This is an entry-level, seasonal position expected to end in late September. There’s potential for long-term employment for dedicated and hardworking team members, but nothing is guaranteed. This is a demanding yet rewarding position, no experience is required, and all training will be provided. Individuals with an active IIC are encouraged to apply. Immediate start date available Pay range: $17 per hour Required skills Must be able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid conditions while wearing PPE. Perform all tasks in the grow cycle including cloning, transplanting, feeding, pruning, and shaping plants in vegetative and flowering stages. Move plants between rooms to continue the grow cycle. Manipulate plants into trellises for proper plant development. Assist with Harvesting and break down harvested plants. Reset grow rooms, include removing old grow medium, vacuum and cleaning tables, clean floor and wall fans, removing and reinstalling trellises, sweep and mop the floors. Follow a detailed plan and timeline for plant production from clone to harvest. Report any findings immediately to management. Maintain work areas at a high level of cleanliness, clean, organize and sanitize cultivation equipment daily, weekly as determined by Cultivation Manager. Following strict SOP’s, regulations and company guidelines for all compliance, workflows and safety matters. Participate in trimming, sorting, classification, and packaging (post-harvest processing) Maintaining quality control through the manicuring of flower for retail sales Maintain a steady production of cannabis flower to meet our weekly demands. Properly trimming (manicuring) a minimum of 55 grams of flower per hour. Other general duties around the cultivation as assigned.

Work Environment:

Indoor, climate-controlled cultivation center setting. Ability to work in tight spaces and respect co-workers comfort zones.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, although this may fluctuate. Must be able to occasionally work a flexible schedule based on cultivation needs. Must be willing to wear scrubs, crocs, and hair nets. Must be willing to wear long sleeves and Tyvek suits resulting in a hot and humid environment. Must always wear IIC Lanyard.

Pay range:

$17 per hour Required skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency while maintaining strict accuracy on compliance tasks. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Ability to work under pressure Acute attention to detail. Positive attitude and outlook. Ability to take directions and work well with others. Must obtain and maintain the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy Individual Identification Card (IIC).

Physical Requirements:

Bending, climbing (work on ladders), walking, standing for long periods of time and performs repetitive work. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times, multiple times a day.

Travel Requirements:

No travel requirements unless requested to meet at the corporate office or cover a shift at other cultivation centers.

Required Education/Experience:

Must be at least 21 years old High school diploma/GED Associates degree or higher preferred Knowledge of cannabis preferred. Desired skills y Preferred seniority
