Post Harvest Technician Job Purpose/Summary:

The Post Harvest Technician is a versatile role responsible for assisting in various post-harvest activities, including machine or hand trimming, harvesting, and packaging of cannabis products. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks within the post-harvest process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Trim Supervisor in setting up workstations for trimming or packaging tasks. Operate trim machines and/or perform hand trimming of cannabis flower. Package flower cannabis products according to company standards and guidelines. Assist in pulling down plants for harvest and preparing them for processing. Help collect and record data on plant growth and health as needed. Support the Trim Supervisor or Harvest Lead in various tasks as required. Maintain a steady work pace and flow throughout the day to meet production goals. Comply with company policies, state regulations, and OSHA safety standards at all times. Uphold the highest standards of quality and cleanliness in the workspace. Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas after each trimming or packaging session. Assist in weighing out and recording data at the end of each workday.

Communication Skills:

Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, employee handbooks, and other company documents. Effective verbal communication skills to interact with team members and convey ideas and messages. Professional written communication skills for documentation and reporting purposes.

Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch for extended periods throughout the workday. Lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 to 40 pounds as needed. Use hands to handle tools and equipment, and maintain balance while performing various tasks.

Mental Effort:

Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze information and prioritize duties effectively. Adapt to changing priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment.
