As a Color+ Designer/Gardener, you will play a key role in designing, installing, and maintaining vibrant seasonal plantings for our clients, while upholding our core values of Growth, Love, Excellence, and Wow. Responsibilities Conduct client consultations to assess needs and project scope Design, install, and maintain seasonal color plantings in window boxes, containers, and garden beds across Charleston Install, maintain, and repair drip irrigation systems Identify and address pest issues, apply controls, and manage fertilization Collaborate with installation, maintenance, and irrigation teams as needed Recognize and suggest opportunities to enhance serviced properties Maintain greenhouse and plant areas, including watering, weeding, organizing, fertilizing, and pest control Care for tools and equipment, and keep vehicles clean and organized Work both independently and as part of a team of gardeners Maintain excellent communication and relationships with customers Report to the Color+ Director Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on horticulture or gardening experience Valid driver’s license Strong desire to learn and contribute to a team environment Creativity and a keen eye for design, including color, texture, scale, and dimension Familiarity with seasonal plants suited to the Charleston region Working knowledge of drip irrigation systems and controllers Organized, detail-oriented, and strong time management skills Excellent communication skills with supervisors, colleagues, and clients Dependable, punctual, and committed to company goals Resourceful, responsible, and proactive in plant care and problem-solving Benefits Standard paid holidays after 90 days 401(k) with 4% company match after six months Reimbursement for MUSC Telemedicine use for employees and discounted rates for families One week paid vacation after six months; two weeks after one year; up to four weeks with tenure Health insurance available after 90 days with 80% of employee premium paid by Ables Landscapes Two annual sick days $25,000 life insurance policy paid by Ables Landscapes Optional dental, vision, and additional life insurance plans Quarterly employee events, including picnics and holiday parties Consistent Dream Sessions with our Dream Manager Tuition reimbursement for industry-related learning Bi-annual profit sharing Access to Babbel foreign language learning service Financial support for approved mission trips Access to counseling services with 80% of sessions covered by Ables Landscapes
