Technician I Grounds 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Simpsonville, SC 29681 Under general supervision, operates small outdoor power equipment in the maintenance of City grounds. Assists in routine maintenance activities, i.e., cleaning and painting, installation of plant material, maintenance of seasonal color, mowing turf areas, assisting as a ground man while performing tree work, and maintaining all city owned greenspaces. May be asked to assist in other duties within the streets division, i.e., replacing street signs, patching potholes, and curb repair. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Reports to the Streets Supervisor. Requires a High School Diploma supplemented by a minimum of one year of experience in a job-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
