Jewel Ranch is a small equine/cattle ranch with vacation rentals in OTHER in Springfield, TN. The work here is ever-changing, challenging and rewarding. A variety of work duties includes, but is not limited to: Outdoor and indoor work Handling, feeding, and riding plus light Training horses fence maintenance and building Pasture and hay work Working cows Light carpentry work Light mechanic work on equipment Bush hogging and mowing We are looking for a Ranch Hand to join our team and help with the daily operations of our ranch. You must be an experienced horse rider with the knowledge of how to work with young horses in training. The successful candidate will be responsible for tending to the livestock, exercising horses, maintaining the grounds, and performing general maintenance tasks. This position requires a self-starter who is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and can handle physically demanding tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with livestock, basic mechanical knowledge, and a passion for ranching.

Responsibilities:

Feed and water livestock. Maintain fences and other ranch infrastructure. Repair and maintain ranch equipment. Monitor the health of livestock. Assist with branding and other ranch activities. Extensive experience with and Light horse training and ability to ride horses young horses. Perform general maintenance tasks.

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$14.00 – $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

Extended hours Monday to Friday Rotating weekends Year round work
