Landscaper/Groundskeeper American Outdoor Services LLC Clinton, CT 06413 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for maintaining beautiful landscapes and outdoor spaces. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the aesthetic appeal and health of gardens, lawns, and other outdoor areas. The Groundskeeper will work with both hand tools and power tools to perform essential maintenance duties. Responsibilities Perform regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to maintain gardens and outdoor spaces. Irrigate plants and lawns as needed to ensure optimal growth and health. Assist in planting flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the landscape. Monitor the health of plants and lawns, identifying any issues such as pests or diseases. Maintain cleanliness of grounds by removing debris, trash, and other unwanted materials. Follow safety protocols while operating equipment and performing tasks in various weather conditions. Skills Proficient in using power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers for effective groundskeeping. Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices to ensure healthy plant growth and aesthetic appeal. Experience in lawn care techniques including fertilization, aeration, and pest control. Ability to work with hand tools for planting, pruning, and general maintenance tasks. Strong understanding of irrigation systems for efficient watering of gardens and lawns. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance in outdoor areas.
