Job Description

Golf Course Grounds Maintenance Worker 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 800 Gsw State University Dr, Americus, GA 31709 This position is responsible for performing golf course maintenance duties in order to maintain the appearance and playability of the golf course. Responsibilities Conducts golf course maintenance. (95%) Prepares the golf course for daily operations. Operates various types of equipment, including but not limited to, mowers, and various heavy equipment . May operate smaller equipment as directed by supervisor such as weed eaters, blowers, edgers, etc. Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed and return equipment to the designated location. Assists in making repairs to the irrigation system when needed. Performs related duties. (5%) Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver¿s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of equipment operation’s useful but not necessary. Mechanical aptitude useful but not necessary. Knowledge of golf course maintenance procedures useful but not necessary. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Skill in operating equipment.
