• Job Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Technician to join our team.

Starting pay for a probationary period of three months will be based upon verified experience through reference checks and possession of a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record. Following the probationary period, an increase in hourly pay may be given based upon demonstrated experience, attendance, and reliability.

• Duties:

• Reliable attendance and punctuality for daily work.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
• Follow verbal and written directions.
• Perform general work in landscaping and lawn care under minimal supervision.
• Utilize power tools for various landscaping activities, including operating mower, trimmer, edger and blower.
• Assist in hardscape projects
• Assist in mulch installation
• Perform tree trimming and tree care tasks
• Mow and maintain lawns
• Dig, landscape, and build outdoor features
• Maintain outdoor areas in pristine condition, including picking up trash and changing trash bags at customer properties.
• Ability to drive and operate vehicles equipped with a snowplow

• Experience:

• Prior experience in tree trimming, tree care, mowing, digging, landscaping, and building
• Proficiency with power tools for landscaping tasks. Previous experience required.
• Knowledge of hardscape installation and maintenance
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance
• Customer service oriented and professional attitude, and be accountable to self and others.

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling 10 pounds constantly, 50 pounds frequently, 100 pounds occasionally;
• manipulating objects requiring pinching, squeezing, grasping, and turning;
• ability to stand and walk for up to 9 hours a day with occasional periods of rest and rehydration.

Minimum Cognitive and Mental requirements:

• Must be able to communicate in the English language verbally and in writing with coworkers and customers.
• Must possess a reasonable ability to visually inspect; and purposefully interpret, sort, and deliberate between quality and substandard products, work, and conditions.
• Must be able to visually estimate in linear feet, cubic yards, calculate square footage, and measure area and perimeter using standard units of measurement.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of basic workplace and roadway safety, including but not limited to:

Appropriate personal protective equipment, spill and splash control/prevention, fire safety, power equipment safety, awareness of electrical hazards, simple mechanical advantages, and the ability to learn and perform basic first aid to one’s own self and others.

• MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK LEGALLY IN THE UNITED STATES. LEGAL PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED.

• Must possess current and valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Preferred applicants that have experience pulling a trailer weighted up to 14,000 pounds.
• Must have working knowledge of safe towing, trailering, and dumping operations. Upon conditional offer of employment, must willingly submit to driving record, criminal background check, and substance abuse screening at no cost to the prospective employee.
• If selected, you will be asked to provide a copy of your driver’s license and sign a waiver for background and driving record investigation at no cost to the prospective employee.
