Job Description
Public Works Part-time Summer Landscaper Town of Zebulon Zebulon, NC 27597 JOB Assist the Public Works Operations team with various aspects of landscaping duties.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The landscaper will be responsible for the following: Operating a weed eater, edger, blower, and hedge trimmerMowing grass with a zero turn or walk-behind mowerPlanting flowers or shrubs, mulching, and installing decorative stoneAssisting with preventive maintenance on landscaping equipment Performs other duties as assignedThis listing is intended only as an illustration of the various types of work performed. Hours & Conditions of Work:
This seasonal position is scheduled to work 6am – 2:30pm every Monday through Friday beginning in June and ending in September. This is a part-time position that will be limited to 1,000 working hours.
The nature of this work will require staff to work outside for extended periods of time, often in unfavorable weather conditions. Duties may require one to sit, stand, stoop, bend, lift, and reach.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Ability to understand directions and perform the work as instructed.
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds or force occasionally, 50 pounds of force frequently, and 20 pounds of force constantly.
Ability to operate landscaping equipment.
Skill in interpersonal relations.
Skill in establishing cooperative and productive working relationships.
