Job Description
Grounds Maintenance/Groundskeeper 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 123 Main St, New Providence, NJ 07940 Amentum is seeking a Field Lead and Equipment Operator to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. This position is reserved for Bahamian citizens only. Must be a citizen of the Bahamas.
Essential Responsibilities:
Work with and lead a team of grounds maintenance crew in mowing, renovating, tree trimming and removal, bulky debris pickup, cleaning and maintaining equipment used. Cut lawns using hand mower, power mower or riding mowers. Demonstrate knowledge of plant care and safe equipment uses. Report directly to the Roads & Grounds manager.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years of proven experience in operating landscaping equipment, like ride-on-mower, tractors, man-lift, forklift, Bobcat, chainsaw, and handheld landscaping equipment. Working knowledge of tools for maintenance. Working knowledge of equipment operating. Strong work ethic and ability to contribute to a diverse team. Updated Government issued driver’s license. Ability to pass a police record check. Ability to lift and carry up to (50) fifty pounds. Ability to follow oral and written instruction and communicate effectively in English. This position is reserved for Bahamian citizen only. Must be a citizen of the Bahamas.
Preferred Qualifications:
2-3 years of proven experience in performing work in a commercial landscaping organization and leading crews. Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
