Job Description
Perennial Gardener – Flower Pot Specialist Jacob Hamilton Gardens Inc. East Hampton, NY 11937 Are you passionate about plants and love working outdoors? We’re looking for a Perennial Gardener/Flower Pot Specialist to help create and maintain beautiful, seasonal perennial and container gardens for our clients. From shopping for the perfect plants to styling and maintaining vibrant flower pots, this is a hands-on role for someone with creativity, energy, and a green thumb.
What You’ll Do:
Shop for plants, flowers, soil, and gardening supplies Design and plant up seasonal or decorative flower pots and planters/gardens Create stunning, themed potted arrangements for a variety of outdoor settings Clean, refresh, and restyle existing pots and planters as needed Water and maintain container and perennial gardens to ensure healthy, vibrant displays. Monitor plant health and troubleshoot watering or pest issues Assist with light garden tasks Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area Bring positive, plant-loving energy to each project and client interaction
What We’re Looking For:
Passion for plants, flowers, and outdoor design A creative eye for color, composition, and plant combinations Experience in gardening, landscaping, or plant care (especially containers) Comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather Able to lift heavy pots, soil and work on your feet Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of seasonal plants, container gardening techniques, and basic pest control Basic understanding of watering/ irrigation, fertilizing, and plant nutrition Previous experience at a nursery, garden center, or in professional landscaping is a plus Why Work With Us?
