We’re seeking a hands-on, safety-focused Tree Farm Spray Technician to oversee our spray operations in Umatilla. In this role, you’ll design and execute a comprehensive spray program, scout for pests and diseases, and collaborate with our agronomist. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Crop Scouting & Pest Management Regularly scout tree and shrub stock for insects, disease, and nutrient deficiencies Identify pests and recommend corrective actions in consultation with our agronomist Spray Program Development & Execution Create, document, and implement a pesticide/herbicide spray schedule Safely mix and apply chemicals, adhering to all label directions and safety protocols Team Leadership & Logistics Occasionally mow farm roads and buffer zones Transport crew members and equipment to satellite locations as needed Compliance & Record-Keeping Maintain pesticide application records, licenses, and safety data sheets (SDS) Ensure all work complies with state regulations and company policies Clean, valid Florida driver’s license Preferred 2 years’ experience minimum in agricultural spraying (pesticides/herbicides) and crop scouting Ability to identify common pests, diseases, and nutrient issues in woody ornamentals Comfortable operating tractors and ATV/UTV equipment Strong communication skills; Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Ability to lift 50 pounds, work outdoors in variable weather, and walk several miles per day Must Have Ability to pass a drug test, Reliable transportation to and from work and Strong work ethic Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with employer match, employer paid life insurance.
