Broome County, NY Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lawn and Landscaping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail with landscaping and groundskeeping, with a strong focus on maintaining outdoor spaces. This role involves performing various lawn care tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging lawns as well as performing general landscaping tasks such as planting, mulching, seasonal clean-ups, and seasonal snow plowing. The Lawn Specialist will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that all properties are well-kept and meet our high standards of quality. Mechanical ability is a big plus—if you’re handy with equipment repairs and maintenance, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Perform regular lawn care duties, including mowing, trimming, and edging to maintain healthy grass and landscapes. Execute landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, weeding, mulching, and fertilizing gardens. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various landscaping projects. Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, or flowers as needed. Conduct groundskeeping activities to ensure the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of outdoor areas. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep driveways and pathways clear and safe. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition through regular cleaning and servicing. Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and working around others. Experience Previous experience in landscape maintenance or lawn care is strongly preferred. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in landscaping. Knowledge of gardening techniques and plant care will be beneficial. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
