Full-Time Troy’s Tropics is looking for an experienced and passionate Retail Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our retail nursery. We’ve been growing quality plants and serving our community since 1984, and we’re excited to bring on a team member who shares our commitment to excellence, customer service, and plant knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all retail nursery operations to ensure smooth, efficient daily performance Train and support nursery staff (with assistance from dedicated training personnel) Monitor plant inventory and maintain plant health and quality Coordinate with the growing and landscaping teams to ensure proper plant availability Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service Respond to customer inquiries, assist with plant recommendations, and handle customer complaints professionally and promptly Supervise employees on the floor and ensure tasks are completed efficiently Maintain a clean, organized, and safe retail space Assist in merchandising and product displays to boost sales Collaborate with management to implement promotions and seasonal shifts

Qualifications:

Prior experience in retail management, preferably in a nursery or garden center Strong leadership and communication skills Working knowledge of Florida plant material and landscaping best practices Comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced, physical environment Customer-focused mindset with the ability to resolve concerns and provide a positive shopping experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
