Tree Service Foreman Job Summary :

Fitzgerald Outdoor Professionals is seeking a skilled and passionate Foreman to lead our team. In this role, you will oversee a crew responsible for maintaining and preserving the health of trees and landscapes for our clients. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, manage beautiful properties, and apply your expertise in climbing, pruning, and safety practices. Key Responsibilities :

• Lead a crew in performing tree pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other maintenance tasks.
• Ensure safe operation of all equipment, including chainsaws, aerial lifts, and other tools, while adhering to appropriate safety standards.
• Inspect trees and landscapes to assess health, identify issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Climb trees without spurs and apply proper pruning techniques to shade trees, ornamentals, and other species.
• Provide high-quality service to clients by maintaining open communication and meeting their landscape care expectations.
• Train and mentor crew members to develop their skills and ensure all work is completed to company standards.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and best practices for tree care.

Qualifications :

• Experience with proper pruning practices for large shade trees and ornamental species.
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species, along with a working knowledge of their specific characteristics.
• Proficiency in climbing trees without spurs and a thorough understanding of tree care safety standards.
• Hands-on experience operating chainsaws and other tree care equipment.
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket trucks) and other tree maintenance machinery.
• Valid driver’s license; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team and provide excellent client service.
