Located in downtown New Canaan, we are steps away from the train station and offer a collaborative, creative work environment. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Job Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project teams to develop residential designs from schematic presentations through construction documents and administration. Produce accurate and detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD. Ensure design compliance with applicable building codes and regulations. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Contribute to a creative and supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. 3-5 years of relevant architectural experience. Strong drafting and documentation skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Solid understanding of residential building codes and construction methods. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Authorized to work in the United States. Ability to commute or relocate to New Canaan, CT prior to starting work (required).
