The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry work and be proficient in various construction techniques. This role involves working with concrete, plaster, stucco, and other materials to create, repair, and restore structures. The Mason will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of our projects. Duties Construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, or stone. Finish concrete surfaces to ensure a smooth and durable finish. Apply plaster and stucco to surfaces for aesthetic appeal and protection. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various masonry tasks. Restore existing structures by repairing cracks, replacing damaged materials, and ensuring structural integrity. Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to ensure cohesive work. Perform drywall installation and finishing as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proficiency in concrete finishing techniques. Experience with plaster application and stucco installation. Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively. Skilled in using hand tools for precise masonry work. Knowledge of restoration techniques for various materials. Familiarity with welding processes as they relate to masonry work is a plus. Experience in trim carpentry for finishing touches on projects is desirable. Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during construction or renovation projects.
