Position Overview:

The Box Shop Carpenter is responsible for constructing custom wooden crates, A-frames, and skids used to transport glass safely and securely. This position involves interpreting work orders and drawings, measuring and cutting materials, assembling wooden shipping structures, and performing quality checks to ensure the safety of the packaging.

Responsibilities:

Build wooden crates, A-frames, and custom packaging to specifications Safely operate saws, nail guns, hand tools, and other woodworking equipment Read and interpret work orders, sketches, and measurements Inspect finished crates and packaging for structural integrity and accuracy Assist in loading crated glass onto trucks when needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all company safety procedures and protocols

Requirements:

• Previous experience in carpentry, construction, or wood crate building preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret basic shop drawings
• Comfortable using power tools and woodworking equipment
• Physically able to lift 30+ pounds and work on your feet throughout the day
• Detail-oriented
