Job Summary:

Cypress Employment is seeking a skilled and experiencedConcrete Finisherto join our clients’ construction team in the Mobile, Alabama area. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing, and repair techniques, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. This is a hands-on position involving outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete (such as floors, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters) using a variety of hand and power tools
• Set forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth
• Apply curing compounds to concrete surfaces
• Monitor the effects of weather and temperature on the curing process
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to project specifications
• Repair and patch existing concrete structures
• Operate power trowels, screeds, floats, and other finishing tools
• Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA regulationsQualifications
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a concrete finisher (required
• Familiarity with various types of concrete finishes (broom, exposed aggregate, stamped, etc.
• Ability to read construction drawings and follow verbal instructions
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Reliable transportation to job sites in the Mobile area
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
