Job Description:

T&M Associates is seeking an experienced Inspector to serve as Resident Engineer on Municipal, County and Agency infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead high-impact projects, including roadways, bridges, water and sewer systems, and municipal facilities.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the inspection and quality assurance ofplex transportation and infrastructure projects, ensuringpliance with project plans, specifications, safety standards, and permit requirements.
Supervise and mentor a team of inspectors while coordinating daily construction observation activities, including field testing,missioning, and schedule verification.
Serve as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders, fostering strongmunication and resolving project-related issues efficiently.
Perform Resident Engineer and Project Manager-level duties, including oversight of construction schedules, staffing reports, payroll certifications, and labor documentation.
Review and coordinate contractor submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and maintain detailed inspection records and reports.
Ensure contractorpliance with safety plans, environmental permits, and all applicable regulations while minimizing public disruptions and coordinating with adjacent projects.
Support budget and schedule management by identifying and solvingplex field challenges in collaboration with the project team (Owner, T&M, and Contractors).
Utilize spreadsheets, scheduling tools, and project management software for effective reporting, documentation, and tracking project progress.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction inspection or a related field, with significant experience on County and Agency projects, including NJDOT, NJTA, NJT, etc.
Required certifications include:

NICET Level III or IV in Highway Construction or equivalent, NJSAT, ACI and TCC certification. Ability to obtain any required certifications within 6 months is acceptable.
Bridge construction inspection experience (rehab & new) a plus
Knowledge of NJDOT and NJTA standards, procedures and software.
Excellent written and verbalmunication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
T&M Associates ismitted to pay transparency and equitablepensation practices inpliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $120,000 – $153,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
