Driver’s License Senior level Automotive diagnostics Roofing Communication skills Full Job Description Position Summary The Commercial Roofing Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial roofing systems. This role involves troubleshooting roof leaks, performing high-quality repairs, documenting service work, and ensuring safety compliance. Technicians are expected to work independently and collaboratively to deliver excellent service while maintaining professionalism and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot roof leaks and defects on various commercial roofing systems, including: Single-ply membranes (TPO, PVC, EPDM) Built-up roofing (BUR) Modified bitumen Metal roofing Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) Key Responsibilities Continued Perform durable, watertight repairs using proper materials and techniques. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues. Accurately complete service reports detailing work performed, materials used, and any further recommendations. Communicate findings and solutions clearly with customers, maintaining a professional demeanor. Adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies, including proper use of fall protection and PPE. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition; report issues promptly. Support material procurement and site readiness as needed. Collaborate with service managers, estimators, and fellow technicians to ensure smooth project flow. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing service or a related field. Extensive knowledge of commercial roofing systems and repair techniques. Proven ability to identify, diagnose, and repair various types of roof issues. Proficiency with roofing tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and within a team. Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 or 30-hour cerficaon. Familiarity with specific roofing manufacturers or systems. Experience with aerial lifts or related equipment. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Physical Requirements Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and kneeling. Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs. Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions. Good balance, stamina, and physical strength. Ability to safely use ladders and access roofs.
