Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finish Carpentry Field Supervisor to oversee field operations and ensure the successful execution of our finish carpentry installations. This role is crucial in maintaining quality standards, coordinating site logistics, and serving as the on-site representative of our team for day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities:

On-Site Supervision:

Be physically present on job sites to oversee and ensure proper installation of finish carpentry work including doors, door hardware, steel frames, kitchen cabinetry, and millwork . Ensure all work is completed to spec and in alignment with project timelines.

Delivery Coordination:

Receive, inspect, and sign off on deliveries of materials and hardware. Coordinate staging and storage of deliveries on site and communicate any discrepancies or damages.

Site Meetings:

Attend job site meetings with general contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Represent the finish carpentry team, relay updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project schedules and scope.

Scope Knowledge:

Maintain full awareness of the complete scope of work. Know all details of the finish carpentry package and proactively flag issues, clarify questions, and ensure alignment between documentation and field execution.

Communication & Reporting:

Serve as the primary liaison between the field and the office. Provide daily updates, progress photos, issue logs, and punch list items. Communicate any deviations from scope or potential delays immediately.

Quality Control:

Ensure workmanship and installations meet high standards of quality and precision. Conduct preliminary checks before walkthroughs and punch list reviews with GC/client.

Problem Solving:

Address field conditions and resolve minor issues on the fly or escalate as necessary. Use experience and judgment to maintain workflow and quality under pressure.

Qualifications:

Proven experience (2+ years) in finish carpentry, with a strong background in field installation. Previous supervisory or lead carpenter experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and hardware schedules. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites.

$20.00 – $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
