Complete application. A Pipe Helper assists skilled pipefitters and plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems . They work under the direction of a tradesperson, performing tasks such as cutting and threading pipe, assembling and installing fittings, and cleaning the work area. They also help with material handling, tool organization, and other duties to support the skilled tradesperson

ESSENTIAL

DUTIES and

RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 2-4 experience Load, transport, and unload materials and tools necessary for project Properly complete and submit all shipping and receiving documentation to Foreman, including but not limited to materials and consumables Prepare work area with any required equipment Assist with completing installations or maintenance tasks Maintain clean work area and clean up after installation or maintenance is complete Ensure project is completed according to safety standards by identifying safety hazards and following all policies and regulations Attendance is required daily to fulfill the duties of this position Act in a professional and business-like manner at all times Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate effectively in English Maintain regular attendance and timeliness of a consistent basis

May be required to operate basic power tools like drills and saws. May assist in the installation of hangers and supports for pipes. May help with the disassembly and removal of old or damaged piping. May work on both new construction and maintenance projects.
