Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Architect Project Manager to oversee and manage architectural aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with design specifications and regulations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to drive successful project execution. This position is not an office position. It requires travel to west and northwest Alabama job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the architectural design and construction process for assigned projects. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Develop, review, and oversee project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility. Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, safety regulations, and industry standards. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet performance goals. Conduct site visits in west and northwest Alabama to monitor construction progress, resolve design issues, and enforce quality control. Oversee contractor work, ensuring adherence to architectural design and project specifications. Communicate project updates, challenges, and solutions to clients and stakeholders. Facilitate approvals and permits required for construction projects. Identify and mitigate project risks to avoid delays and cost overruns. Utilize project management software and tools to track milestones, deliverables, and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. 2 years of experience in architectural project management or construction management. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other architectural design software. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices. Experience managing budgets, schedules, and project documentation. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and clients. Familiarity with local and national building codes and permitting processes. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Licensed Architect (preferred but not required).
