CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Job Summary In this role, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects, ensuring alignment with company standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role emphasizes strong process compliance, risk management, job documentation, and quality control. The Project Manager plays a key role in ensuring project files are audit-ready, accurately documented, and reflect all critical communications and changes. A critical aspect of this position is proactively identifying and mitigating project risks, ensuring consistent safety and operational excellence. The Project Manager regularly inspects project progress and quality, resolves deficiencies quickly, and consistently meets or exceeds expectations of both clients and insurance adjusters. In a supervisory capacity, this role provides leadership, management, and accountability (LMA) for superintendents, offering clear direction and consistent performance feedback. The Project Manager mentors field leadership staff, drives team alignment, and ensures all team members are meeting established performance and quality benchmarks.

Duties/Responsibilities Responsibilities will include:

Process compliance Consistently ensures projects fully comply with established company procedures and industry standards Maintains consistent compliance, ensuring project files are always audit-ready Consistently ensures project execution meets all safety regulations and guidelines Regularly trains and reinforces team understanding of process compliance requirements Complete job file documentation Consistently maintains accurate, complete and detailed job file documentation Ensures job files are consistently updated and completed promptly Clearly and promptly documents all scope or budget changes, including communication records Accurately records and documents critical customer and adjuster communications consistently. Manage project risks Proactively identifies project risks and promptly takes appropriate preventative measures Effectively manages risks, minimizing impact and quickly resolving arising issues Clearly and proactively communicates project risks to internal teams, customers and adjusters Consistently develops and implements contingency plans for identified project risks. Manage work quality Ensures project quality consistently meets or exceeds company standards and customer expectations Routinely conducts thorough quality inspections; quickly addresses and corrects deficiencies Regularly achieves high customer satisfaction through consistent project quality. Consistently meets or exceeds adjuster expectations related to quality, documentation and communication Supervisory responsibilities: LMA (Lead, Manage, Accountability) Provides clear direction, motivation, and proactive support to superintendents; consistently drives results Regularly holds superintendents accountable for outcomes, ensuring they meet performance standards Actively mentors superintendents, consistently contributing to their professional growth and skill development Communicates clearly, consistently and effectively with superintendents promoting smooth project execution Required Skills and Abilities Strong understanding of construction industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines (e.g., OSHA) Ability to ensure full compliance with company procedures and maintain audit-ready project files Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate, complete, and timely project documentation Proficiency in documenting critical customer and adjuster communications consistently and accurately Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate project risks proactively Commitment to consistently delivering projects that meet or exceed company and client expectations Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, superintendents, and adjusters Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork, build trust, and manage stakeholder relationships Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, and cost-tracking tools with the ability to interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications accurately Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project demands Education And Experience High school diploma or GED required Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or a related field preferred Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Certified Construction Manager, etc.) preferred 5+ years of progressive experience in construction project management or a related supervisory role Experience supervising field staff such as superintendents or foremen, including performance management and mentoring Familiarity with working alongside insurance adjusters and understanding of restoration or insurance-related construction projects Proven track record of maintaining process compliance, risk mitigation, and quality assurance across complex projects Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, including navigating active construction sites Frequent walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs, and occasional use of ladders Occasional lifting and carrying of materials or equipment up to 25-50 pounds Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise Frequent use of hands and fingers for writing, typing, and handling documents or electronic devices Ability to communicate clearly in person, over the phone, and via electronic communication Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching to inspect project details Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary Ability to operate a motor vehicle Conditions of Employment Successful completion of a background check Motor Vehicle Report complete with requirements met for being insured on company vehicle insurance policy Verification of your qualifications and references Acceptance and compliance with the Company’s employment policies and guidelines
