Assistant Superintendent L. Cobb Construction, Inc. Arcadia, FL 34269 Job Summary The Assistant Superintendent plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management and execution of construction projects. This position involves working closely with the Superintendent to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and a solid understanding of construction processes. Responsibilities Assist in the planning and scheduling of project activities to ensure timely completion. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain workflow and resolve any issues that arise. Monitor job site safety and compliance with OSHA regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. Review blueprints and project specifications to understand project requirements and assist in quality control measures. Utilize construction management software for project documentation and tracking. Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, quality, and adherence to contract specifications. Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports and meeting minutes. Support budget management by tracking expenses and assisting in budget forecasting. Qualifications Proficient in construction management software Strong understanding of budgeting principles related to construction projects. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices on job sites. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively. Experience with quality control processes in construction settings. Knowledge of contract management principles related to construction projects.. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Prior experience in construction management or a related field is preferred.
