We’re looking for an Entry-Level Land Planner who’s excited to grow with a dynamic team working on diverse residential, commercial, municipal, and mixed-use projects. What You’ll Do:
Assist in the preparation of development plans by evaluating existing site conditions and setting achievable planning goals. Support in conducting site suitability studies and preparing conceptual land plans. Help interpret and apply federal, state, and local land use laws, zoning codes, and ordinances. Research and analyze demographic, geographic, and socioeconomic data to support planning proposals. Prepare zoning submittal packages and development design booklets. Coordinate with city planners, developers, engineers, and community leaders. Learn to deliver effective presentations using visual aids and mapping tools. Support project managers with reports, client updates, and plan approval documentation. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to land use planning. What You Bring (Must-Haves): Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or related field. 0-1 year of experience in land planning or development (internships or academic projects welcome). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, GIS, Land F/X, and Microsoft Office. Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas clearly. Knowledge of Municode or similar ordinance databases. Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure. Preferred (Nice-to-Haves): PLP certification Graphic design capabilities for visual communication Understanding of planning processes, zoning procedures, and permitting requirements
