Ground-up Apartments Position Overview:
As an Assistant Superintendent for Ground-up Apartments, you will be responsible for supporting the overall construction process of multi-family apartment projects. You will work closely with the Superintendent to ensure that all aspects of the project are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining a high level of quality and safety. The current project we are hiring for is a 4 story podium with 150 units, 5 stories of wood framing in Midtown Atlanta.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Superintendent in overseeing the construction process from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of project tasks. Review project plans and specifications to identify potential issues and provide solutions. Maintain a safe and organized job site, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise. Track and report project progress to the Superintendent, providing updates on timelines, budget, and any other relevant information. Assist with the procurement of materials and equipment needed for the project. Train and supervise construction crew members and provide guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in construction, preferably in multi-family or commercial projects. Prior experience as an Assistant Superintendent is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications. Experience with stick frame, wood frame, metal frame, and/or steel frame construction is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
