Full-Time We are conducting a search on behalf of our client for an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee a high-profile heavy civil infrastructure project in Midtown Manhattan. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of large-scale construction operations, strong leadership capabilities, and a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role on a $300M+ infrastructure project that will significantly impact New York City’s built environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise all phases of on-site construction to ensure adherence to design specifications, budget constraints, and schedule milestones Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily site operations, including scheduling, logistics, and subcontractor management Ensure all work performed meets contractual obligations and safety standards Provide technical support, including interpretation of drawings and recommendations for construction methods and equipment Collaborate with project management to develop schedules, site logistics plans, and execution strategies Enforce the Site-Specific Safety Plan and contribute to a culture of safety excellence Serve as a key point of contact for owner representatives and on-site stakeholders Take on additional responsibilities as required by project leadership Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred) Minimum 10 years of field supervision experience on large-scale ($300M+) heavy civil infrastructure projects At least 10 years of superintendent or craft supervision experience in new construction, including foundation work, concrete, structural steel, and complex mechanical installations Extensive knowledge of U.S. construction methods, safety protocols, and industry best practices Experience working with municipal, state, and federal agencies is highly preferred Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, and Procore (or equivalent) OSHA 30 and First Aid certifications required Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong familiarity with union environments and local labor requirements in the NYC area Why Apply This position offers the chance to lead critical public infrastructure work at one of the nation’s most dynamic construction sites.
