Underwriting Manager Position Available In Bronx, New York

My client, a rapidly growing community bank, is seeking an Underwriting Manager to join their team and play an important role in overseeing the underwriting process for commercial, construction, and residential lending. Responsibilities Direct the end-to-end underwriting process for various loan types, including commercial real estate, construction, and residential mortgages. Evaluate financial viability and creditworthiness of prospective borrowers. Manage team workflows, balancing workloads and priorities to ensure efficient credit processing. Monitor loan pipeline to ensure timely progression of applications and adherence to internal credit policy. Provide training on underwriting systems and credit analysis techniques to enhance team capability. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate and/or construction loan underwriting. 2+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial & industrial lending preferred. Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a lending environment is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of credit analysis, loan documentation, and risk-based lending.
