Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Geotechnical Drilling Assistant to join our field team. This role involves assisting with the setup, operation, and breakdown of drilling rigs for geotechnical and environmental investigations. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, performing physical labor, and traveling to different job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in mobilizing and demobilizing drilling equipment and materials to job sites. Support drilling operations by handling drill rods, tools, and sampling equipment. Collect and label soil, rock, and groundwater samples under the direction of the lead driller or geologist. Maintain a clean and safe work area on the drill rig and job site. Load and unload supplies and assist in maintenance and minor repairs of equipment. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Accurately complete field logs, forms, and basic documentation as required. Communicate effectively with drill crew members and site supervisors.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (required). Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus). Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks. Willingness to travel and work overtime and weekends as needed. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety. Experience with construction, labor, or mechanical work is a plus but not required. Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise, etc.).
