Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

Set up and operate numerical-control drilling machines to drill holes into printed circuit boards according to specifications. Load program files containing programmed commands into the machine or enter commands to retrieve programmed control data. Review setup instructions, blueprints, and work orders to determine drilling requirements and machine settings. Load and unload PCB panels onto drilling machines, ensuring proper alignment and securing. Maintain drill bits, replacing worn or damaged ones to ensure optimal performance and hole quality. Monitor the drilling process to ensure the quality of holes. Perform quality control checks using measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with drilling equipment or processes. Maintain and clean drilling equipment regularly. Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production flow. Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and quality inspection results. Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce defects.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Preferably experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment. Basic computer skills for operating machine controls. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
