$45.5K – $55.6K a year 2 days ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Excavator Mid-level CDL Driver’s License Full Job Description The Environmental Equipment Operator will routinely: Work on construction sites that involve the removal of contaminated soil and water. Operate excavators, dozers, front-end loaders and skid-steer loaders. Excavate contaminated soil and load into roll-off boxes or dump trucks. Backfill excavated areas and restore grade. Excavate and remove Underground Storage Tanks (UST’s). Excavate within sensitive areas such as adjacent water and sewer mainlines. Work as a Driver (CDL) or Technician when Operators are not needed or required. The facilities you will be working in include but are not limited to: Steel mills, ductile pipe mills, rebar mills. Paper mills.  Power plants.  Military installations. Contaminated sites that involve the removal of contaminated soil and water. Roadside Spill Response.

Requirements to be considered:

A valid Alabama driver’s license and a clean driving record. Must pass a pre-employment drug test, physical and background check. Must be able to wear and work in a respirator. You must be clean shaven daily to wear a respirator. Long hair that may result in safety concerns is not allowed.

Essential requirements:

Experienced in the operation of Excavators, Dozes, Front-end loaders, and Skid-steer loaders, Must be available to work as scheduled. Must have dependable transportation. Must have a positive attitude. You will be provided with uniforms. Wearing the uniform (shirt and pants) is mandatory. On occasion it will be necessary to travel out of town. Out of town travel is typically only a few days in length; however, on occasion travel may extend up to a full week or longer if working on a project of greater size. When working out of town, you may be working for the Hanceville branch or one of our five (5) other branches. Please do not apply if you are unable to travel out of town. When traveling out of town, the company will pay for your hotel room and provide you with meal money (per diem). All newly hired employees will participate in a week-long, paid training class. This safety training class is designed to equip new employees with the skills and knowledge they will need to perform all tasks safely. Safety is “job one” at Action Environmental. Employees who engage in unsafe behaviors will be subject to immediate termination.
