Full-Time Job Description Parallel Construction, a leading custom home builder and remodeling company with over 30 years of experience, is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is crucial in maintaining the high-quality standards of our projects, handling warranty repairs, and executing complex service work that requires strong problem-solving skills and a deep construction background. As a Service Technician , you will be responsible for independently diagnosing and resolving construction-related repairs and service requests. This includes both warranty work and more involved service projects requiring expertise in carpentry, light plumbing, and electrical work. You will work closely with our Service Coordinator and interact directly with clients, ensuring that every job is completed with precision, professionalism, and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform warranty repairs and service work with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve various construction-related issues independently. Execute small to mid-size projects, including finish carpentry, drywall, light electrical, and plumbing work. Collaborate with the Service Coordinator to schedule and manage workload efficiently. Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining cost-effectiveness and high client satisfaction. Provide clear communication to clients regarding work being performed. Identify and report any quality control concerns or potential issues. Maintain job site cleanliness and adhere to safety standards at all times. Utilize construction software apps such as BuilderTrend to track work progress and documentation. Represent Parallel Construction professionally while fostering positive client relationships. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of hands-on construction experience, preferably in residential remodeling or high-end custom home building. Strong background in finish carpentry, drywall repair, light electrical, and plumbing . Ability to problem-solve and work independently to complete service work efficiently. Experience working in high-quality control environments with strict attention to detail. Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction technology (BuilderTrend experience preferred). Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs unassisted , work on ladders, and perform tasks in various weather conditions. Must provide personal hand tools for daily tasks.
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$25 – $28 per hour (based on experience)
