Cost Estimator HYRD 14 Ash Road, Winsted, CT 06098 Aerospace Cost Estimator – Barkhamsted – Winsted CT Direct Hire Summary Seeking an experienced Aerospace Cost Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for new and existing manufacturing projects. Responsibilities include analyzing drawings to identify material needs, defining efficient manufacturing methods (including special processes like heat treatment and coatings), calculating labor hours from first principles, and identifying all Non-Recurring and Engineering Costs. The role supports business development efforts, bid submissions, and cost reduction initiatives, while also tracking project progress.
Requirements:
5+ years in cost estimating, preferably in aerospace. Strong commercial acumen and customer-facing experience. Knowledge of LEAN principles and modern manufacturing techniques. Familiarity with tooling methods for production and inspection.

$110,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
